Simulation of Primary Particle Development and Their Impact on Microstructural Evolution of Sc-Modified Aluminum Alloys during Additive Manufacturing

The microstructures of additively manufactured Sc- and Zr-modified aluminum alloys are significantly influenced by the nucleation role solid intermetallic particles in undercooled liquid.
